Riverside University Health System-Behavioral Health is a California State-Approved Medi-Cal Peer Support Certification Training Entity.
People with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use recovery, including family members or caregivers directly involved in their loved one’s recovery process, who feel that they are ready to share their experiences with others, can apply to become certified in the practice of peer support by completing an online application at www.calmhsa.org.
Once the CalMHSA Peer Certification Application is approved, candidates have the option to select RUHS-BH as their Med-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training Course provider. To register for Building Peer Leaders—A Medi-Cal Peer Support Certification Training, please fill out the Peer Training Registration Form and submit it to PeerTraining@ruhealth.org.
