HeRCARe at Riverside University Health System – Medical Center is Riverside County’s only comprehensive multidisciplinary care clinic for expectant mothers with high-risk pregnancies. The program cares for mothers facing a wide range of conditions that could negatively impact delivery, including multiple gestation, birth defects and drug addiction. Mothers receive timely and specialized treatment that includes genetic testing, in-utero therapy, diabetes education and behavioral health counseling. To improve access to services, HeRCARe offers telemedicine visits and specialized fetal ultrasounds for patients at six RUHS Community Health Centers and connects them with additional resources. In addition to highly skilled Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, patients have access to registered nurses, sonographers and patient services coordinators. This multidisciplinary team ensures mothers are taken care of at every step of their pregnancy.
