Youth Connect supports young people discharged from inpatient psychiatric care as they transition back into their everyday lives. We provide comprehensive wraparound services to help ensure stability at home and in school.

YOUTH HOSPITAL INTERVENTION PROGRAM (YHIP)

YHIP offers intensive follow-up care for youth recently discharged from psychiatric hospitals or those at risk of hospitalization. We help stabilize young people and support their transition back into daily life.

Who can access Children's Behavioral Health Services?

Any child or teenager up to 17 years of age who is facing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges can access our services. We also offer early intervention programs for children under 5.

How do I get started?

Call our confidential CARES Line at (800) 499-3008. A licensed professional is available 24/7 to assess your child's needs and guide you through the next steps.

Are services confidential?

Yes, your family's privacy is protected under HIPAA and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act. Your child's health information will only be shared with your written consent.

How long will my child need treatment?

Treatment duration varies based on individual needs. Some children benefit from short-term support, while others may require ongoing care. We'll work with you to create a personalized plan.

What if I'm concerned about my teenager's substance use?

We offer specialized programs like Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) to support adolescents dealing with substance use. Call our CARES Line to discuss your concerns and explore your options.

How much do services cost?

Most services are covered by Medi-Cal, and no one is denied care based on their ability to pay. If you have concerns about cost, please let us know during your initial call.

Can I be involved in my child's treatment?

Absolutely. We encourage family involvement. Many of our programs are designed to support both the child and the family, offering opportunities to participate in family therapy, parent training, and more.

What is the Wraparound Program?
