Course Description

The trauma conference is designed to provide continuing education of trauma care for the target audience including all EMS, Fire, Police, Hospital staff, RNs, and Physicians. 

Objectives
Identify methods of bleeding control in the field.
State the indications for Target Temperature Management in the Neuro ICU.
Identify key points of trauma as a disease process.
Identify pitfalls in pediatric trauma resuscitation.
Identify methods to reduce morbidity and mortality in geriatric trauma.
State key factors identified in delaying response to the Santa Barbara disaster response.
Identify treatment modalities in various case studies.  

Course Credit

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP511 for 7.0 contact hours per day.  This course has been approved by CA EMS CA Provider #33-0006 for 7.0 hours per day of CE (Instructor based), and includes a certificate of completion.
